Michael Odell Walker is an associate with the Bryant Law Center
practicing in the areas of Family Law, Business Litigation, and
General Civil Litigation. Prior to associating with the Bryant
Law Center in April, 2006. Michael worked as an associate at Gault, Marshall, & Miller, PLLC in Paducah, where he practiced in
the areas of Admiralty and Maritime Law representing towing
companies, Construction litigation (including the filing and
enforcement of mechanics liens), Corporate Governance and
Shareholder Disputes, Business Litigation, and general Civil
Litigation. Michael earned his law degree from the
University of Kentucky
College of Law in 2004. He also received a Masters in
Public Administration that year from the
University of Kentucky
Martin School of Public Policy. While
in law school. Michael received several writing honors,
including the Best Appelle’s Brief Award for the Clay Legal
Writing Club in 2002, and published
"Don't Show Them Where to Click and Vote: An Assessment of
Electioneering Law in the United States as a Consideration in
Implementing Internet Voting Regimes,”
in the Kentucky
Law Journal in 2003. He also was a member of the Trial Advocacy
Board. Prior to and during law school Michael
clerked part time for Judge
Bill Cunningham of the 56th
Judicial Circuit, which covers Caldwell Lyon, Livingston, and
Trigg counties.
Michael is active in several community organizations, including
the Rotary Club of Paducah and McCracken County 4-H. He is a
member of the Parish Council at St. Francis De Sales Catholic
Church. He is active in the Kentucky Bar
Association, serving as First Supreme Court
District Representative on its Young Lawyers’ Section Executive
Committee. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and the U.S.
District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. |
