Emily Roark

Paducah, Kentucky

Emily W. Roark's career in law began straight out of University of Kentucky Law School in 2000 at the Bryant Law Center. Emily is a 1997 graduate of Centre College before attending the University of Kentucky College of Law where she had high academic achievements at both institutions including serving as an Editor on the prestigious Kentucky Law Journal.

Emily was immediately admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 2000 and United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Over her last 19 years at the Bryant Law Center, Emily came to be known as one of the top criminal defense litigators in Western Kentucky and is highly sought after for her meticulous legal research, motion practice, and tenacious courtroom presence.

In recent years, Emily has also developed a passion to protect those who have been harmed by bad drugs and bad medical devices, all whom the pharmaceutical companies tend to think are expendable.

Emily has been involved in multi-district litigation and class actions from train derailments to litigation against the manufactures of Essure, Roundup, Abilify, Zofran, Transvaginal Mesh, IVC filters and several different manufacturers of hip replacements, to name a few.

Emily was the past President of the McCracken County Bar Association, member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, American Association for Justice, Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, Kentucky Justice Association (served on the Board of Governors from 2016-2017), Million Dollar Advocate, and currently serves on the Barkley Regional Airport Board.

On a personal note, Emily's husband, Joseph Roark, is an attorney at the firm and shares many similar passions. They have an eight-year-old son who consumes their free time. Emily and Joe are members of St. Thomas More and volunteer at their son's school, St Mary. For relaxation, Emily enjoys working out, especially Barre, yoga, and tennis.  She also enjoys watching her son play sports.
