An eastern Kentucky disability lawyer being investigated by the Kentucky Bar Association for defrauding the Social Security Administration, may also have run afoul of campaign finance laws for making contributions to a Kentucky Supreme Court justice.

Eric Conn, whose lucrative disability law practice was recently featured in a 60 Minutes investigation and also profiled the Wall Street Journal, reportedly gave thousands of dollars to Justice Will T. Scott. Scott later returned the donations to Conn, which had been made in the name of several of Conn’s employees, according to the Lexington Herald Leader.

Scott has denied asking Conn for the money but admits he put Conn on his campaign fundraising committee.
