The US Government – by far and away – requests more user data from Google than any other country on earth, according to a new transparency report from the search and advertising company. From January to June in 2013, Google reported it had supplied data in 83 percent of the 21,683 federal government requests for information in the form of warrants, subpoenas, wiretap orders, FISA orders and emergency requests it received.
