The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has asked Graco to recall additional child safety seats because buckles jammed when contaminated by food or foreign materials. The company has not received reports of the failed buckles resulting in any injuries to children. NHTSA wants the company to include still an additional 1.8 million seats in the recall, which Graco has thus far refused to do.
The models being recalled as described by Graco:
Atlanta-based Graco, a division of Newell Rubbermaid Inc., has until March 20 to explain why last month’s recall didn’t include infant seats.
