A Pennsylvania woman who went to jail because she could not pay fines for her children missing school, has died in jail. Eileen Dinino, 55, was a mother of seven. She was serving a 48-hour sentence for her children’s multiple truancy violations. She chose to serve jail time in lieu of paying about $2,500 in fines and costs for her children missing school. Autopsy results are pending but no foul play was thought to be involved.Read more at Salon.com
