Julia Barnett

Legal Clerk

Julia Barnett is proud to call Western Kentucky home. A native of Fancy Farm, Kentucky, Julia grew up with the values of hard work, faith, family, and community that continue to guide her today. She is a graduate of Graves County High School’s Class of 2020 and has remained connected to the region throughout her educational journey.

Julia began her studies at Murray State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Legal Studies from 2020–2023. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was an active member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.  She continued her legal education at Southern Illinois University Simmons Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2026.

During law school, Julia excelled academically and became involved in several leadership and professional organizations. She served as a Staff Member and Production Editor for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal, was a Taylor Mattis Fellow, and served as a 3L Representative for the Women’s Law Forum. She was also recognized as a member of the Honor Students and Dean’s List and received a CALI Award for Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics, an honor awarded to the student receiving the highest grade in the course.

While pursuing her law degree, Julia gained practical experience as a Law Clerk with the Bryant Law Center legal team. Working alongside the firm’s attorneys, she assisted clients in the Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation departments and gained valuable experience with complex mass tort litigation. Through this experience, Julia developed a strong understanding of the challenges clients face after serious injuries and the importance of providing dedicated, compassionate representation.

As she begins her legal career with Bryant Law Center, Julia is committed to building a practice centered on compassion, integrity, and relentless advocacy. She understands that clients turn to attorneys during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, after suffering serious injuries, losing income, or facing uncertainty about their future. Julia is committed to not only providing skilled legal representation but also ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and supported throughout the process.

Outside of the firm, Julia is an active member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church, where she has serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoys spending time relaxing by the pool, online shopping, and staying active through workouts at The Barre in Paducah.

Julia is especially grateful for the support of her family, including her parents, two brothers, sister-in-law, and new nephew. She credits their encouragement and support for helping her navigate the challenges of undergraduate studies and law school, and she looks forward to carrying those same values of family, service, and commitment into her career as she begins this next chapter with Bryant Law Center.
